Valentine’s day is almost here! Do you have a valentine? If not, that bottle of Merlot you have sitting around can be. For those that do, save some time and jot down ideas from this date list we’ve put together for you.
Valentine’s Day Date Ideas
#1 – Ice Skating
Ice skating is a fun, cheap and romantic activity to do on Valentine’s day. If you live in an urban area, there’s sure to be skating rinks whether they are indoor or outdoor. Afterwards go grab some coffee or hot chocolate!
#2 – Visit an Art Gallery
Do you enjoy artwork and creativity? Then visiting an art gallery with your loved one is a perfect date idea. They are lowkey, inexpensive and can result in hours of entertainment. Some art galleries feature cafes, restaurants or performances that will add to your day.
#3 – Live Music
Who doesn’t enjoy some good music? Since Valentine’s day is special, live music like orchestras or even plays and musicals make fun dates. Dress up and make it an event. Go for dinner before and head back to the hotel after for some wine.
#4 – Wine Tours
Depending on where you live, wine tours are tons of fun. You get to learn a lot about the individual winery and the wines you taste to show off to friends. Even if it’s just a tasting you go in for, visiting a few wineries is a great way to spend your Valentine’s day together.
#5 – Stay in!
Who said you have to go out to enjoy Valentine’s day? There’s tons of fun stuff you can do at home! Pick a random recipe book and cook up a delicious lunch or dinner. Crack open that old bottle of Cab Sauv you’ve had hanging around. Run through a Netflix marathon make make popcorn. Good company is the most important thing about this day.
#6 -Take a Yoga Class
Here’s a great bang for your back idea. You get to spend time with your spouse and do something healthy. Taking a yoga class won’t cost much and will get a great workout in for the day. Heck, you could even just do yoga outside if the weather permits of course. Hot yoga is a fun idea too and is exactly what you think it is–yoga in a steam room.
#7 – Dancing
You don’t have to be a world class dancer to bust some moves. Hit the dance floor and just have a good time. Dancing at bars and clubs in the evening is fun if you want to enjoy the nightlife. Salsa and similar classes will also get you your fix of dancing for the day.
#8 – Live Sports
Not a super romantic thing to do but very fun! Check out what sports games are happening in your area. You may be able to catch your favorite team or a big match.
